News Update

Current Issue

The October issue of DEW Journal highlights India’s energy exploration landscape through the insights of Mr. OP Sinha, Director (Exploration), ONGC. Mr. Sinha emphasises the country’s ability to expand hydrocarbon exploration frontiers while balancing global climate commitments, illustrating how strategic planning, technological adoption, and operational excellence sustain India’s competitive edge.

This edition also delves into key technological and scientific advancements shaping modern exploration. Articles feature innovative, eco-friendly drilling fluids for depleted reservoirs, geological insights from the Neoproterozoic-Cambrian Basins of the Indian Shield, and SERCEL’s advanced seismic solutions for safer and more sustainable subsurface exploration.

Additionally, the issue examines elastic full-waveform inversion (eFWI) by Delft Inversion for analysing subsurface properties and STRYDE Nimble, an agile seismic technology, underscoring how innovation continues to drive India’s energy exploration capabilities — and much more.

And that’s just the beginning — this issue covers much more.
