Arun Kumar Singhal is an M.Phil. with honors and a double master's in economics and education. He also possesses a degree in economics and commerce, besides holding a diploma in "technology-based education." An avid learner, he is presently moving on in his pursuit to further enhance knowledge in different and new areas and subjects
Author of the book on "Water,” along with an eminent earth scientist who has been bestowed with recognition from the President of India in 2023. The late Dr. Sunder Lal Bahuguna, a globally recognised environmentalist, wrote the foreword to the book, which has earned appreciation from the offices of the Hon'ble President of India and the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India. He has also authored and edited books, papers, and popular articles, besides writing in several regional and national dailies on social, general, and technical issues.
He founded DEW Journal in 1989, a magazine dedicated to energy, oil and gas, engineering, IT, and the environment, and has been at the helm as its Chairman of the Editorial Board and Chief Editor since its inception. DEW Journal has been widely acclaimed as a technical publication by readers globally. As an economist, he has been writing and covering all aspects of energy, oil and gas, engineering, IT, and the environment over the years.
His contribution to technical writing through the DEW Journal and via other forums has received commendation from numerous renowned national and international personalities. Prominent are the former President of India, the late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, His Excellency Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah of Qatar, and the Hon'ble Governor of Uttarakhand.
Dr. Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah is the former deputy prime minister of Qatar, the head of the Emir's court, and the Chief Administrative Control and Transparency Authority of Qatar. From September 1992 to January 2011, Dr. Attiyah was Qatar's Minister of Energy and Industry.
The US federal government selected Arun in 2016 as one of six editors from around the world (the lone editor writing for the energy, oil & gas, and engineering industries was selected from India and Southeast Asia) to visit the US. The visit aimed to showcase the latest in technology, services, and research in the fields of oil and gas, mining, manufacturing, and engineering to a select group of technical editors for further disseminating technical information and research in their respective regions globally.
Advocating for a clean environment, Arun has been involved in social service activities in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. In his hometown of Dehradun, he is associated with many prominent social services organisations and groups.
For his good writing skills and contribution to social services, he has been recognised three times by the Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand, India. The Dehradun District Administration, Uttarakhand, India, has also recognised his contribution.
Arun is among the founding members of the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI)—Dehradun Chapter. PRSI is a national association of PR practitioners, established in 1958. The society promotes public relations as a profession and helps formulate and interpret for the public the goals and potentialities of public relations as a strategic management function
He has also served as the Secretary, Sanskar Bharti, in the Dehradun Unit. Sanskar Bharti, a social organisation, is known for its constant and consistent efforts to conserve, enhance, and nurture Indian arts. It is today one of the biggest art and culture organisations countrywide, with more than 2,000 units.
Arun is a member of the Indian Society of Analytical Scientists (ISAS)—Delhi Chapter. ISAS is a scientific forum dedicated to promoting, encouraging, and developing the growth of analytical sciences and their applications.
He has received numerous accolades as a regular invitee by academia, universities, and institutions dedicated to energy, oil and gas, and engineering both within and outside the country.

Satish Kumar Mathur

Mr. Satish Kumar Mathur is Editorial Advisor, DEW journal. Mr. Mathur is former General Manager, ONGC. A Science Graduate with double Post Graduation Degrees. Mr. Mathur has done courses at the world renowned Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in computer based management system & International Statistical Education Center, Kolkata. Mr. Mathur has a wide and varied experience of over four decades in different responsible technical positions in the world renowned ONGC.

Dr. Himmat Singh

Dr. Himmat Singh is Editorial Advisor, DEW journal. Dr Himmat Singh is presently an independent consultant in petroleum refining & natural gas. Earlier he served as Scientist “G” (now Chief scientist) at CSIR–Indian Institute of Petroleum, India in the field of petroleum refining and petrochemicals & R&D Advisor with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited. Has Applied research experience of around 39 years. Post retirement worked as Professor & HOD with institutions of higher education/universities for over 18 years. Dr Singh holds M.Sc in Chemistry, degree in Petroleum Refining & Petrochemicals from ENSPM of IFP France and Ph.D in Refining of Lube Base stocks .Publications 200+ papers,12 patents and three books. Guided 10 Ph.D theses.

B. N. Talukdar

Mr. B. N. Talukdar is Editorial Advisor, DEW Journal. He is an internationally renowned geologist with over four decades of experience working the industry and subsequently in government.
Mr. Talukdar is former Director General, Directorate General of Hydrocarbon, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India.
Mr. Talukdar is also former Technical Member, Appellate Tribunal for Electricity, Government of India.
Mr. Talukdar has also been Director (Exploration & Development) of India’s second largest oil company - Oil India Limited.

S. K. Das

Mr. S.K. Das is Editorial Advisor, DEW journal. He was former Executive Director and Basin Manager, Western Onshore Basin, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited. He has also being the Executive Director and Head of Geodata Processing and Interpretation Centre (GEOPIC) besides shouldering many responsible positions during his career of around four decades working in ONGC.
Mr. Das has also been the President (2012-14) of Society of Petroleum Geophysicists (SPG) India a leading geophysical society with international acclaim.

Prof. Dr. Pradeep B Jadhav

Prof. Dr. Pradeep B Jadhav is Editorial Advisor, DEW Journal. A Ph.D. in structural geology, University from Pune is former Professor and Head, Department of Petroleum Engineering, Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune, India, Dr. Jadhav has over 35 years’ professional experience, involving quality teaching, research, competent curriculum design, accreditation and assessor of engineering programs. He is involved with feasibility studies of engineering geology projects, petrophysical analysis and economic feasibility of oil and gas projects.
He has contributed significantly in establishing the Department of Petroleum Engineering and also getting accreditation for the undergraduate program in Petroleum Engineering. Proficient in mentoring and counseling of students. Contributed as a leader in the process of accreditation of Petroleum Engineering Program (BE Petroleum) from National Board of Accreditation, NBA. Also worked as Assessor for NAAC, India.
Dr. Jadhav is a recipient of “Distinguished Petroleum Engineering Faculty”, Society of Petroleum Engineering, SPE International for SE Asia, 2016. He has received global recognition for the student chapter during my regime. Also initiated student chapters of SPG India and IADC.
Completed five research projects sanctioned by MoES, DST and AICTE. Dr. Jadhav was a member of Research Advisory Committee, Oil India Limited (2013-2015). He has provided research guidance to three students at Ph.D. level and more than 20 students for M. Tech.
He is one of the coordinators in the development of state of the art “Centre for Subsea Engineering Research, CSER, developed on the campus of MIT Pune with the joint efforts of Aker Solutions and MIT Pune. The state-of-the-art Centre is created to provide experimental facility for engineering students interested in making career in oil and gas industry.
