Editorial Members

Mr. Arun Kumar Singhal, a post-graduate, is a social worker, writer, author and Chair's the Editorial Board and is the Chief Editor of internationally acclaimed technical cum scientific journal named "DEW Journal" which he founded in the year 1989 along with like-minded people from the industry. He has since been responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the journal and the publication group. DEW Journal holds the distinction as a premier energy, oil & gas and engineering referred journal published from India with international circulation. The journal has over the years grown in stature and is a preferred technical publication by the industry, government, and the academia alike.

DEW Journal prides itself as UGC-India approved for its quality contents. UGC-India is a statutory body set up by the Indian Union government in accordance to the UGC Act 1956 under Ministry of Human Resource Development and charged with coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of higher education. It provides recognition to universities in India.

DEW Journal and the publication group set up by Mr. Singhal in late eighties is a pioneering initiative that created a platform for Indian technical and scientific writers and authors against all odds. Today it commands national and global recognition.

DEW Journal's contribution to the industry under Mr. Singhal has received many accolades from international personalities, chiefs of oil companies and ministers of many countries. A known face in the oil and gas industry and social circle he is thrice recognized by the Governor, Uttarakhand in the year 2004, 2014 and 2016 for his contribution to social services and for his good writing skills. Besides the aforesaid, the journal has received appreciation from former President of India Late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and His Excellency Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, Chief Administrative Control and Transparency Authority, Qatar and former Deputy Prime Minister, former Chief of Emiri Diwan of Qatar and former Qatar's Petroleum Minister.

In June 2016 he was among the six editors selected from around the world by the US government to visit the US to learn about the latest in technology, services, and research in the field of oil & gas, mining, manufacturing, and engineering. Mr. Singhal was the lone editor writing for the oil & gas and engineering industry selected from India and South East Asia among six other international editors representing six different countries of the world.

Mr. Singhal has also authored and edited books, papers and popular articles besides writing in several regional and national newspapers on social, general and technical issues. His latest book on "Water - essence of life" (published in 2018) co-authored with internationally renowned earth scientist Prof. O. N. Bhargava with a Foreword by globally recognised environmentalist Shri. Sunder Lal Bahuguna is under consideration for a formal release by the Hon'ble President of India.

Mr. Singhal is also a founding member of Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) - Dehradun Chapter. PRSI is a national association of PR practitioners established in 1958 to promote public relations as a profession and to formulate and interpret to the public the goals and the potentialities of public relations as a strategic management function.

He has also served as the Secretary, Sanskar Bharti - Dehradun Unit. Sanskar Bharti a social organisation is known for its constant and consistent efforts to conserve, enhance and nurture Indian arts. It is today one of the biggest art and culture organization countrywide having more than 2000 units.

Mr. Satish Kr. Mathur is Editorial Advisor, DEW journal. Mr. Mathur is former General Manager, ONGC. A Science Graduate with double Post Graduation Degrees. Mr. Mathur has done courses at the world renowned Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in computer based management system & International Statistical Education Center, Kolkata. Mr. Mathur has a wide and varied experience of over four decades in different responsible technical positions in the world renowned ONGC.

Dr. Himmat Singh is Editorial Advisor, DEW journal. Dr. Singh was former Advisor (Research & Development) Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and former senior Deputy Director (Scientist "G"), Indian Institute of Petroleum-a R&D center under Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India.

Dr. Singh is presently Head - Department of Petroleum Engineering, Chandigarh University, India. He has also been former Distinguished Professor, Hydrocarbon Engineering, University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, India.

Dr. Prof. Nikolay P. Zapivalov is Editorial Advisor, DEW journal. Prof. Zapivalov is a Dr. Sc. (Petroleum Geology), Chairman of Novosibirsk Center of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Chief Scientist, Institute of Petroleum Geology and Geophysics of the SB RAS. He is also a Professor of Novosibirsk State University. He is honored Geologist of Russia.

Prof. Zapivalov has been a geologist, chief geologist and General Director of West Siberian oil exploration enterprises for many years. He is a discoverer of oil and gas fields. Now he is a prominent scientist awarded with Golden Star, Knight of Science and Arts, a petroleum geologist well-known in Russia and abroad.

His research activities are Forecast and exploration of large and high-production oil and gas pools in many regions, especially in the basement; geofluidodynamics of oil-saturated systems as a base of new principles for exploration and development. He created a new theory of rehabilitation of exhausted fields and ways to increase reserves.

Author and co-author of over 600 published works. Prof. Zapivalov is the author of book "India - way to big oil" (2005). Worked in India in 1964-1968.

Mr. S.K. Das is Editorial Advisor, DEW journal. He was former Executive Director and Basin Manager, Western Onshore Basin, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited. He has also being the Executive Director and Head of Geodata Processing and Interpretation Centre (GEOPIC) besides shouldering many responsible positions during his career of around four decades working in ONGC.

Mr. Das has also been the President (2012-14) of Society of Petroleum Geophysicists (SPG) India a leading geophysical society with international acclaim.
